Otago 2021

A beautiful sunny day at Balmacewen Golf Course saw the Otago tournament finally held on the reserve day of October the 1st.

A large field of around 90 entries had us stay within our limits set out by Covid 19 but still enough to hold a great day. Unfortunately the Hamer BBQ was being utilised in Nelson but thanks to Ideal Electrical for the use of there trailer BBQ the punters were still well fed and watered.
Some great sponsorship from local businesses and suppliers also meant the prize table was well stocked and everyone left with something under their wing.

With a slight change in the guard of the organizers we are looking forward to 2022 and implementing some additions to our local day with a focus on enticing those ambrose golfers while keeping a strong field of Gross, Nett, and Stableford golfers also.
Congratulations to our three title champions:
Phil Luyten – Best Gross (center in the photo below)
Paul Parsons – Best Nett unavailable for a photo, represented by Happy Gilmours caddy
Trevor King – Best Stableford (left in the photo below)

A large thank you to our Hosts the Otago Golf Course who always look after us and support the event each year. We hope and look forward to hosting the National Event here in late 2022.
