The Nelson-Marlborough-West Coast Electrical Trades golf tournament was hosted at the Nelson Golf Club
– After years of dodgy weather, we were finally greeted by a stunning day, many thanks to the executive members for their attendance and the provision of the great weather.
– A field of thirty eight played the full eighteen holes and a further fifteen played nine.
The course condition was as stunning as the weather, with the greens in practically good condition and very quick.
There were reports of plenty of three and four putts.
The PDL cup for best gross was taken out by 2016 National Trade Champion Brett Allan with a one over par 72.
Gavin Clarke our National Treasurer continued his trend of getting around the tournaments and getting his name on trophies by winning the BJC cup for best nett with 69.
The best stableford was won by Ken Wilson with 38 but as a visitor missed out on the Abcal cup, which was taken away by Robbie Greer with 37 points.
