Mid Canterbury hosted what was a very successful and well run event, Methven is a small yet busy ski township situated on the western edge of the Canterbury plains, providing more than enough entertainment at the Ski Time resort and the two local hotels “The Blue” and “The Brown” pubs.
Led ably by Gary and Calvin Gabites and supported logistically by local identity and team member Martin Hickman, Steve Connor, Darren Shields, Blue Cook, and another pair of embryonic rarities Paul and Peter Clemens they can be very pleased with the excellent hosting and success of their tournament.
The Methven Golf Club has toiled long and hard since the storms back in September clearing numerous trees that were felled by the high winds, many thanks from the national association players and sponsors for the excellent condition that the course was presented in.
