Hawkes Bay/Gisborne 2023

The event was held on 25/08/23 at the Hawkes Bay Golf Club in Hastings.
Shot Gun Start at 12.00 noon.
The day began with cloudy weather and very little wind which changed into a bright sunny day after 1 hour.
The 104 players gathered around the putting green and a barbeque sponsored by Vynco cooked by Grant Moodie at the turn, supported by Porkies Butchery Taradale.
The prizes from the table and hole Sponsors meant every player went home with a generous prize.
The course was in excellent condition considering only 6 months since Cyclone Gabrielle raised havoc throughout East Coast, Gisborne, and Hawkes Bay. Scott mentioned the effect on Families, Businesses, and Properties that will continue well into the future.
We have had great support from the Pro shop team Ray and David, with general help from the green staff and Bar, Gilvery in the Kitchen.

We want to thank all our Gold, Silver, and Bronze Sponsors and 15 holes.
During the day there was the ETCO Tent event run by Lee. The Schneider truck was manned by Robin and Brent at the turn. Marie was aboard the Golf cart sponsored by Biz Line Ideal Napier.
Many thanks for all these events supporting Sparkies Day Out.

At the completion of the day the Master Electricians supplied platters to the Players Tables cooked by the new Caterer Gilvery which was much appreciated by all the golfers this year.
