Electrical Trades Tournament – Our 69th event played at Waitikiri –
A smaller than usual field of 76 players took to Waitikiri on a superb day sunny, clear and not a breath of wind. – The course was in good shape although still a little damp in places after the wettest winter in years. A reasonable take up of hole sponsors and special thanks to Bremca & Hamer for the on course BBQ’s and to Olivia from Simx for the jelly shots. Anthony Dale from ATT provided a little distraction on the 17th with a pitching competition. Active Hornby provided pre match coffee cart. Thanks to all.

A good number of hopefuls tried out for this year’s team to Nelson, all the usual suspects plus some 1st timers. The team to Nelson is Marcel Bramao, Nige Starkie, Matt Evers Carmichael, Tony Voice, Jeramie Neaves, Angus Neaves, Rhys Jamieson & Grant Thomson. We have 2 representatives of the Gold Sponsors Rhys (Philips) & Grant (Radcliffe Electrical) and possibly a 1st in a father & son combination. A year of change with Mike taking more of a back seat leaving the chasing up to Angus Neaves & Rhys Jamieson helped by Chris Brandon and the office staff of Fitzwilliam Electrical. Thanks to all our hole sponsors and the companies who donated prizes. It all makes for a great day out.
