After a couple of years of bad luck with the weather, the chance to try a different time of year was taken by the Committee, and the change of date also brought a change in fortunes.
The day was a typical Nelson autumn day, clear skies and a gentle breeze in the Maitai Valley, welcomed all to the Waahi Taakaro Golf Course.
The tournament format was again Team Ambrose.
This year 13 teams entered with a few new faces.
The Waahi Taakaro course was presented in beautiful condition with the greens rolling as well as they ever had.
Thanks to Club Manager Peter Watson for being so easy to work with and making the day a huge success.
Klein Tools representative Richard Seaton arrived with the BBQ putting on some great food pre-round, and continued to provide this throughout the day.

The Schneider "Marshmallow Nearest the Gin" proved very popular on the course.
All players got two chances at this during their rounds, the closest of about an inch by Nigel Satherley was very impressive.
